The main views face towards the east and southeast mountains. The terrain has a substantial amount of rocks and a considerable slope from north to south. We sectioned the volume of the requested rectangular shape into 3 parts and rearranged them, which allowed us to maximize views from the most important spaces of the home: the social area and the master bedroom.
In building within the land, we structured the homes’ volume perpendicular just above and into the slope, this created a “floating home” concept providing a natural space below the homes’ foundation, for a shaded carport, while also helping reduce the impact of the construction on the land to the minimum possible footprint enabling a biological corridor underneath the house.
